$150.00

Saturday, Nov. 9, noon-2pm and Saturday, Nov. 16, noon-3pm

Join us for a hands-on introduction to etching, an art form that allows you to create intricate and detailed images printed from a copper plate. In this workshop, you'll be guided through every step of the process, from composing your drawing on the plate to etching and finally printing your unique design on paper. We'll work with non-toxic materials, including BIG ground for hardground line etching and ferric chloride for the etching process. Whether you're a beginner or looking to expand your artistic skills, this class offers a creative and enjoyable experience!

Goals + outcomes: Learn to ground, scribe, etch, and print an intaglio using a hard ground line etch. Participants will make and print 1 @ 6”x9” etching during the class.
